E te whanau, tena koe
The Wikaire Whanau Trust have recently confirmed an agreement with telecommunications company Evolution Networks to locate a telecommunications tower on their Omaio 43 Sec No 5 lands (Rareka) for the whanau, hapu, Iwi, manuhiri hoki.
The tower will be commissioned next week (weather permitting) enabling hi-speed wifi broadband connection of Omaio to Te Kaha homes and marae to the rest of the world. In a month or so cellphone connectivity will be added.
Mark Simpson from Evolution Networks will be at the Omaio School on Wednesday 8th March between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to explain the new wifi network and how you can get connected.
